Easy Senate Score Chart 2006
This year there will be two scores: a vote score and a human rights percentage.
RUSS FEINGOLD IS IN FIRST PLACE WITH +100 (100%) ON THE FIRST 10 HUMAN RIGHTS VOTES OF 2006.
ANYONE WITH A SCORE BELOW 50% IS NO FRIEND OF HUMAN RIGHTS.

How the score is calculated:

Home Run (H Run):  This Senator took a stand for the American people. +10 points

AWOL: This Senator was AWOL when the American people needed him/her to take a stand.  – 5 points. This does not apply to cloture votes.

NH: This stands for no harm.  Those who fail to vote against cloture don't have the courage of those who do take a stand but their votes counts with the "nay" votes in a cloture motion.  Therefore, unless a home run requires a vote for cloture on an issue, NH counts as 0.

STR for Strike: This Senator voted or agreed to an outcome harmful to the American people, freedom and/or democracy. -10 points

F: This stands for Fraud.  This applies to Senators who vote one way when it matters and another way when it makes no difference. In an election year, Senators like to argue meaningless votes and mislead their public into fogetting that they voted the other way when it mattered.  An F will be placed after the total of all Senators who do this on the chart that contains the vote wherein they pull this.  The Fs will also be counted on the final total of the final chart at the end of the year..

Total Score: The accumulated points to date on major votes/consents.

Human Rights Percentage or HR%: Current percentage of Senator from bottom to top of chart, rounded to the nearest whole number.

The vote descriptions link to the top of the chart, and each column header and footer links back to the description for that date.

Votes/Consents counted this page:
3/16/06B:   S Amdt. 3128 to S. Con Res 83 was the vote on providing the funding to implement the energy Policy Act of 2005 from ANWR.  This basically provided funding to wipe out the polar bear and upset the balance of life on the planet.
3/16/06C: The budget.
3/27/06: This was the vote to confirm pro-nuclear war profiteer Dennis Spurgeon as Assistant Secretary of Energy. Spurgeon's appointment will likely lead to Chrnobyl's in the U.S. and to more wars.
4/7/06A: Cloture on Securing America's Borders (or more appropriately named bigotry against workers) Act.
4/7/06B: This was the vote to confirm Dorrance Smith (a right-winger who has a history of lying to defame legitimate news sources in an effort to cover up the truth about Iraq) to be Assistant Secretary of Defense..
4/7/06C:  This was the vote on the cloture motion to confirm Peter Flory (an architect of the permanent war against freedom and peace) to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.
5/2/06:  This was the vote on the cloture motion on HR 4939, the emergency funding to war profiteers.
5/4/06:  This was the vote on HR4939, the emergency funding to profiteers from death.
5/8/06A:  This was the cloture vote on S. 1955, the Legalize Medical Murder by Capping the Malpractice Damages Bill
5/8/06B: This was the cloture vote on S23 the Legalize Killing of Mothers and Babies by Capping the Damages for Malpractice Bill.
