Orange County's January 20 Counter Coronation, 2005, Photos and more
On January 20, in the heart of Republican Orange County, professionals,
students, candidates and other individuls from all walks of life came
together, united
against Bush's theft of the 2004 election: the
Patrick Henry Democratic Club, the Orange County Peace Coalition, the 69th
Assembly District Democratic Committee, Orange County Veterans for
Peace,
Democrats.com, the
Green Party of Orange County and the Coastal Convergence Society. Also
present
were members of Amnesty International, Death Penalty Focus, Code Pink,
the
Screen Actors Guild, the California Bar Association and other
organizations.

Master of Ceremonies, 15-year old Alex, reads the list of patriots who
contested the election on January 6th, 2005.

The Vice-Chairman of the Patrick Henry Democratic Club and of the 69th
Assembly District Democratic Committee reads Langston Hughes' classic,
"Let America Be America Again" as the press takes a photo and MC Alex
looks on.

Congressional candidate Christina Avalos charmed the crowd with her
presentation.

Surprise guest speaker, Ronald Lee Voight, gave an inspirational
presentation from the heart.

Chairman of the Green Party Council of Orange County, Matt Leslie spoke
about how to improve the election system.

Natasha talked of how the election was stolen.

Natasha calls the audience to action and dedicates her latest poem to
Senator Barbara Boxer and the 31 Representatives who contested the
