Bush's victory, and our betrayal, is now complete. The Democrats, who had the power to stop this insane occupation in Iraq, what we elected them to do, caved completely. They didn't even have the courage to do it honestly and openly. The House passed a rule that allowed the Democrats to vote against the bill while guaranteeing that it would pass. The Patrick Henry Democratic Club is very proud of its 2005 World Leader of the Year for his starkly accurate description to the UN of the current squatter in the White House (and co-Villain of the Year), George W. Bush. Representative Dennis Kucinich was in Orange County on September 10, 2006. Congress is once again leading the way towards war with Iran with Minority (mis)Leader Pelosi leading the call. Thank Reps. Abercrombie, Hinchey, Jones (NC), Kucinich (OUR CONGRESMAN OF THE YEAR), Lee, McDermott, McKinney, Paul, Waters (OUR CONGRESSWOMAN OF THE YEAR), and Woolsey for voting against another step towards war with Iran. Alex Hull-Richter is elected to the board of directors of the National Youth Rights Association. Congratulations! Karl Rove, Pollution Corporations and Republican voters defeat DEMOCRATIC PARTY in Georgia's Democratic Runoff. (but lose BIG in the elections!) Where was
the DNC and
the
DCCC and why did they allow the Republicans to fix
Georgia's Democratic runoff and give a Republican-backed candidate
the victory? Shame on Rahm Emanuel, Howard Dean and Jeanette
Millender-McDonald for sitting by and taking no action as the
complaints came in from voters and Democrats who tried to stop the
tampering and received no assistance from their own party.
Acquiescence is complicity. Anyone feel like contributing

Bush scores
his biggest
win
ever by defeating his strongest opponent in a rigged election.
Diebold failed to put Cynthia McKinney on the ballot in at least one
precinct and switched McKinney votes to Johnson votes as voters
watched powerless to stop the rigging while Georgia police
harassed McKinney voters. The Republicans turned out in
droves to vote for their man Hank Johnson in Georgia's Democratic
runoff. Cynthia put up a good fight. No Democrat in
America could have stood a chance under such extreme election
tampering. Cynthia needs to take her cues from Mexico's Obrador
and keep fighting until she defeats the Rove-Johnson-Diebold
machine and has those who fixed the election prosecuted.

WHO NEEDS AND DESERVES YOUR SUPPORT Thank Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott, Ron Paul and Pete Stark for being the only consistent votes against the rush to war with Iran. To those who don't know, in February, the House voted overwhelmingly for a resolution "condemning the Government of Iran for violating its international nuclear nonproliferation obligations and expressing support for efforts to report Iran to the United Nations Security Council." While some others voted "present" and some did not vote, these four had the courage to stand up and be counted against this resolution fast-tracking the next war. In April, another bill looking like a declaration of war with Iran was approved by the House. These four, joined by others, voted against that. Then, in May, these four and others voted against a bill which appears to call for the overthrow of the elected government of Hamas. Pelosi lead the majority of Democrats in voting with the Republicans in support of all three of these bills. A long time ago in a country far, far away, a rising dictator managed to use a national tragedy as an excuse (1) to round up thousands of suspected terrorists, imprisoning or deporting them, (2) to push through anti-terrorism legislation, (3) to solidify his power and gain popularity, making dissent unpatriotic, (4) to round up and imprison citizens without the right of trial, (5) later, to use his new-found powers to go to war and invade helpless countries for false reasons and take their resources and (6) to kill a great many of his countries soldiers in these wars and a great many innocent civilians, both in his country and around the world.... In church, I have learned that forgiveness is not for the benefit of the forgiven but rather for the benefit of the forgiver. However, most children in America do not attend my church. I suspect that, when they learn what the current adult generation is not telling them, most will have a lot of difficulty forgiving any parents who support or vote for the Bush administration. Ohio chose Kerry. Here's how the
votes vanished.
By Greg Palast This February, Ken Blackwell, Ohio's Secretary of State, told his State Senate President, "The possibility of a close election with punch cards as the state’s primary voting device invites a Florida-like calamity." Blackwell, co-chair of Bush-Cheney reelection campaign, wasn't warning his fellow Republican of disaster, but boasting of an opportunity to bring in Ohio for Team Bush no matter what the voters wanted. And most voters in Ohio wanted JFK, not GWB. But their choice won't count because their votes won't be counted. The ballots that add up to a majority for John Kerry in Ohio -- and in New Mexico -- are locked up in two Republican hidey-holes: "spoiled" ballots and "provisional" ballots. Great Quotes: Barbara Bush on the Disaster in New Orleans: "And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."
